I'll have to sneak over there and get a brick to put on the mantle.
Had a ton of laughs in that building and my handful of dearest friends were there too.

I know a few people who lost their virginity in that parking lot.

School Board Takes Action on Demolition and Site Improvement Plans Lemon Monroe High School

The Monroe Local Schools will be holding an informational meeting to share with our community the process and timeline for the demolition of the old Lemon - Monroe High School. The Board of Education recently approved the hiring of Reclaim Company L.L.C. to complete the abatement and demolition project.  After months of community input, community surveys and design work by the District's architectural and engineering team, the Board is excited to share the project highlights to the community.

On February 24, the District will hold an informational meeting at the Monroe High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting will be to review the timeline for the demolition, and answer questions about what the site will look like upon completion.    We will also share some of the site logistics during the construction.  We look forward to sharing this information with our community.

I can't attend because I don't have a torch and a pitchfork. ;-)

I think this is great news. Once the old school and stadium are gone we as a community can move forward and not look at the past. The School Board has done the right thing and should be praised for taking care of this. Thank you!!

Agree. I wonder how many Monroe residents are like my husband and I......we've been here 10 years and have no "connectiln" with the old high school. Tear it down and use the property for something beneficial to ALL residents (or at least as many aspossible).

I really hope once this building is demolished that it will make way for a large retail center or a warehousing type of business.
