I'm considering starting up a local AHA chapter.

Anyone interested please let me know.

All are welcome, but please keep in mind the goals and values that the group supports.

Thanks,

Jrock it is ironic that this organization you support is boycotting the pledge because the pledge has "under god" in it but they LOVE donations and the money they receive has "in god we trust" on it.

Don't you think that is a little hypocritical?

Or have I missed the total sarcasm?

I shudder every time I see someone pulling out a check book when at the market.

Is it 1985?

It is a tad ironic - however, as well all know, the under god portion of our money and pledge were added in the 50's at the height of the red scare.

I think the whole protest the pledge thing is a waste of time - I understand the concept, but think its a waste of time.

I doubt you fully support everything your favored political party supports - am I right? Every. single. thing?

I'm just looking to get together with like minded folks in the area and let them know that they are not alone.

You don't need god/s to be a good person and if I can get a group together to promote that message I will.

And to be quite frank, while I don't like under god on our money or in our pledge, it's of little concern to me. It doesn't say, christian god, greek god etc...it just says "God". Which for me means human existence, reality, etc. God is life. God is humanity.

Nor are you standing and taking a pledge every time you use said money.

it's just not the same thing as "the pledge" that kids are forced to stand and take every morning.  At least that is how it was when i was in school.  No clue how that goes on these days.

Nope but maybe you aren't smart enought to balance a check book you need a computer (not a calculator) to do it for you.LOL

Talk about being a troll.

I got the point of his post you missed it.

Smart enough to balance a check book?  I have a bachelors in business; pretty sure I can handle basic math.  You can keep commenting on things you have NO clue about though.  You are obsessed with me and can't help but comment even when your reply has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I don't even know what point you are trying to make here.  I was talking about how it takes 5x as long to complete a transaction via check as it does debit card.  plain and simple.   I said nothing about you or to you in this statement.  If anyone is a troll here it is you with your reply.  Look up the definition. Thanks for playing; maybe next time.

That is Bachelor not Bachelors ok. So much for that wasted money on an education.

If you want to make a point about how long it takes to complete a transaction with a check then say it the degree didn't teach you much did it. it takes just as long to complete with a debit card. And if the computer system goes down you can't complete anything until it comes back online.

No you are the troll every time I comment you come on here and look for me. Here is a hint you only commented after I posted something. The original post was yesterday. (I don't comment on here much anymore) check that out!!

To each his own.  I have no problem with people who do not believe in God.  I do have a problem with people who do not believe in God telling me, my family and others who DO believe in God that they must not utter His name in a public place.  If you or your child does not want to say the Pledge,  I really, really do not care!!!  Sit down and read the lesson, do your math, whatever.  Just do NOT tell me that my grandchildren MUST NOT be allowed to say the pledge with the words "under God".

Remember it is "Freedom of religion - -  NOT  "Freedom from religion."

I agree 99%...but we shouldn't be having our kids say a pledge referencing a deity in a public school.

That's all.

And again, I think it's a waste of time on the association's part to try and counter this.

It technically is Bachelor's to be accurate. But not the point.

I can't resist.

All googling leads to the opposite: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=bachelor%20degree

What are you even talking about?

My point was obviously if you have an ounce of common sense and live in the real world.  Obviously you do not.

Are you seriously arguing it takes just as long to complete a transaction with with a check as a debit card.

Talk about being a troll. You aren't even living in reality anymore.

I did respond to your original post because it made no sense.  if you had made a good point i would have said nothing.  Unfortunately for yourself you and good points are very good friends.  Which leads to you making comments that make no sense concerning my ability to balance my check book.   Are you off your meds Cliff?  Go get checked.

Before you try and talk about my degree's why don't you handle your red squiggly lines.  I didn't mention them the first two times but you wanted to go there.

Jrock I'm sorry it went to this.  Wasn't my intent.

Good job jrock but if you read some of the links there is a teacher that says: "He has a Bachelor's" is correct, but when you specify what the degree is in as he did "in business" it is Bachelor.

My original post made sense but if your A$$ wasn't on your shoulders you could read.

Never made the argument about a transaction taking the same amount of time. I did say however if the computer system goes down you can't buy crap!!

"I shudder every time I see someone pulling out a check book when at the market." See I have to drag clarification out of you. Where does this even say anything about how long a check transaction takes???? Or what your intent of this statement was?
You have more than one degree??

It is always your intent when you see my name RYAN from colonial manor that has a Bachelor degree in business. I can go further if you like. (see I have more of a clue than you do)

Jrock thanks for answering the original question I asked!!

Sorry for the disruption.

Would you please just stop.  You can't even keep track of your own nonsense.  You add nothing to the conversation ever.  Just stop.  At least until you can keep track of the very words you type.

It's nonsense at this point and it detracts from any real conversation that could have taken place.  That's on you Cliff.  I apologize to Jrock for even replying to you but you led us down this path.
