I have a theory that you can measure the numbers of hospitals needed by seeing how many electric wheelchair grocery carts there are at your local store.  There's a math equation for this I'm sure.  4 Kroger wheelchairs and you get 2 hospitals at your exit, or something like that.

No, it is because there is BIG BUCKS in medical care now. I never, never thought I would say this    but....it is time for mandated price controls in all areas of health care. Big Pharma controls Congress in regards to drug costs.   A lab test that was overpriced at $48 7 years ago now costs $135!! (I am a retired Laboratory Director) We all have stories of hospital stays/treatments that are just crazy expensive. Personally, I could forego the private, family comfortable room for a semi-private/curtain between beds room for a much lower charge.

Wait a minute?! Are you talking regulation?!? No way. We need to let the market right itself. If you can afford care then you get care. If not...too bad.
The market will arrive at the prices correct for its area.
Secondly the baby boomers are really coming into the market which means there is TONS of cash to milk out of these dupes who have been saving up for decades in preparation for this very scenario. I say we skin them out of every last cent. It's their fault they saved up for this. Now is the time for great profit.
Man I hope all of my investment in health care pays off now that all the baby boomers start dying off. The best return comes from a quick death. There's no margin in someone who hangs on too long. Then they eat into the premium that they paid into.
Long lives of premiums. Short swift terminal ailments.
That's what I wish for as an investor.
