Emergency Resolution No. 32-2018.  A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a
contract by and between the City of Monroe and Logan Creek, LLC for the Monroe Bicentennial Commons
Transition Project and declaring an emergency.

Background.  The project was advertised in the local paper for two weeks prior to opening bids on
June 1, 2018 at 10:00am. 3 bids were received with Logan Creek, LLC. being the apparent low bidder
with a bid of $625,000. This contract came in well under the engineer's estimate for the project.
This  project  includes  the  demolition  of  the  majority  of  the  old  dilapidated  structures,
completion of a safe walking path around the site as well as the rehabilitation of one building
that will be used for future storage of Public Works grounds maintenance equipment. The completion
date for this contract is November 1, 2018.

It was incorrectly reported that these funds had not been appropriated.  Funds for this work were
previously appropriated in the amount of $850,000.
