According to "consensus" science, this is impossible! And it is not the first occurrence of "blood" in dinosaurs/fossils, findings which SHAKE existing scientific theories! Of course it will be marginalized and discredited somehow because it can't be allowed to stand.
Bloody Mosquito Fossil Supports Recent Creation
     http://www.icr.org/article/7735/

by Brian Thomas, M.S.

Scientists recently found blood remnants in a mosquito fossil trapped in a supposed 46-million-year-old rock.1 Could blood really last that long?

Publishing in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), the researchers reported that they detected iron three times inside the fossil mosquito's abdomen, which strongly suggests the presence of still-fresh hemoglobin. They also confirmed the presence of heme groups (vitamin-like porphyrin molecules found in hemoglobin) only inside the abdomen, where living female mosquitos store the blood from their meals. The study authors wrote, "The combination of these two determinations indicates that the porphyrins are derived from the oxygen-carrying heme moiety of hemoglobin."1

No scientific evidence supports the assertion that heme groups can last, even under circumstances that would maximize their preservation, for one million, let alone tens of millions of years. In fact, all longevity studies of biomolecules like hemoglobin, DNA, and collagen show decay rates in ranges that show total sample disintegration in a matter of months to a maximum of several hundred thousand years—assuming reasonable Earth surface temperatures.

One time, consensus science said that it was impossible for animals to go extinct. Then they found dinosaur bones.

As more evidence is uncovered, scientific theory is updated.

It's silly for anyone to think that all science is 100% accurate as of any moment. As more evidence is uncovered, theories are updated and sometimes discarded. This applies to everything, even evolution and global warming.

Evidence is just so strongly on the side of the scientific theory of the age of the universe, that it would take more than one theory about the longevity of blood to take it down.

Consensus is that blood can be found, but the DNA is unusable. So jurassic park is also impossible.

DNA and the blood itself are completely different. There is consensus there.

Is this supposed to be ammo for the Cretin Museum...sorry I meant Creation.

Ah yes, ICR....a credible research and academic organization.

Much like wikipedia and the onion. and foxnews ( for good measure, you understand)

This is their findings, that THEY published, not ICR. I know, who knew, 46 million year old blood can't be. Wacko

And if you read the text fully, rather than pick out convenient parts, you realize they're talking
about heme. Not DNA, not usable structures or anything that can be considered useful. Literally the presence of blood. Big deal.

It was found in a mummified mammoth a couple years ago too. Big deal.

I guess because this happened science is wrong. Wait though, how did they find this blood? Shouldn't it have been on an ark?

LOL

You have totally missed the whole point. This is impossible to all theories of preservation and the models built based upon them. A mammoth is of recent origin and maybe possible to eat some steaks from said species.

You are blind to the possibilities presented by anything other than the established mantra that is far from certain and questioned by many, and certified in your mind as the only one allowed.

But I am proud of Matt, because he does seem to "get" it. Smile

I did not miss the point. You're using this to try and say science is flawed and innacurate but your one single book is infallable.

They found blood. so what. it proves nor disproves anything.

Actually, now that I am re-reading everything. I'm being a jerk. I'm sorry - seriously, blueblood I didn't mean to be such a jerk.

Honestly, not a joke or anything, it is an interesting find and a good post on your part.

My apologies Smile

Is this namecalling necessary?  They're cretins because they hold an opinion that differs from yours that isn't mainstream?

They're entitled to pursue their view of the world as much as you are yours.  And I think you might be shocked just how many people you insult with comments like this.  I've never been there, but I know folks who have that I consider very intelligent, educated, thinking people.  They aren't the six-fingered knuckle draggers you clearly believe them to be.
If it matters, seek the truth.

Touche, and I did apologize to blueblood - I suppose apologies are in order to any that took offense to that - it was unneccessary.
