Thank you for all of your posts- we do read them. The Lights or lack there of are being addressed. We have made some staff changes to improve your dinning experience. We have also tweaked some of the food to hopefully make all happy- (a difficult task) but one that must happen. So please if you had a so-so experience in the past, do try again. You are the reason we are here!
Go Bengals!! Sunday will be a great day!!

Agree! Great customer service. Great atmosphere. And a great selection of beer!

But for the money, I just don't think the food is worth it. Or even that filling for us fat guys.

So following is a small post with a few more of my thought entitled Gordon's Last Bite At The Clubhouse Sports Grille.

I went Thursday night with some friends and the owner or manager (not the guy in the picture above) came over and talked to us to get our opinion on a few things.  He was very nice and definitely showed that they are constantly wanting to improve.  They seem to want to be very involved with the community.  I think their prices are VERY reasonable.  I'm really puzzled when I see people say it's overpriced.   I love this place and I hope they continue to be very successful!!!

i have been there 4 maybe 5 times ,,at first things were rough but what I have witnessed is that the owner is always striving to do better ,this place is what Monroe has needed ..
an owner who cares about what his customers think about his establishment is just a huge bonus...kudos..

Check around Gordon, that's fairly priced.

If you find a sub $9 Caesar Salad, full entree size, or sub $9 entrees for that matter let me know! But as far as our experience goes that's the market value now.

Guys, again, I'm not saying $9.00 is in itself expensive, I'm saying the portion was undersized for the money.

Does anyone out there think the portion size on the Cesar Salad at the Clubhouse is in the same ballpark as a similarly priced salad from say... a Panera Bread? I don't think so.

As a matter of fact, I was at The Square in Middletown this weekend and my friend ordered a Cesar Side salad. I would bet my next meal that her SIDE salad was twice the portion as I've had at the Clubhouse with their regular salad.

I guess there is the chance things have changed there since the Clubhouse has been opened longer. I've only tried the salad twice. But still, I'm quite certain that both times there was not much to it.

We have been in for dinner a couple of times with our two kids.  Food and service both very good.  Our request/complaint is that there are NO vegetables available for kids... to be family friendly in my opinion you have to include something other than fries for a child's side dish... nothing fancy, a side of broccoli or California blend would be enough to make me happy.  Applesauce would also be an option... I'm not looking for health food, just something to balance out the options for kids...
Food for thought :)

judging strictly from your picture I would say it does.

In fact I can at least tell the chicken was grilled in house as opposed to coming out of a bag like at panera.

to each their own; I don't think we enjoy the same things in a restaurant.  I'm after quality; not quantity.

Did you happen to make a call to Jimmy Dean a few years back?

Well call me a kid then because I would love to have some veggie options. (non fried) A lot of places have broccoli or mixed grilled vegetables.

I think it is a very good idea to have veggies as an option to fries. However I prefer peas, carrots, & corn.

Thank you for the suggestion.  We have kids too, although older now, and we are trying to figure out how to make your suggestion reality in this business enviroment.  Sorry to be the one to break the news, but kids meals are on menu's as a help to the families.  In some cases kids meals are at best a break even.  That said, we understand and applaud your concerns.  We will be working on a menu re-print this spring.  We hoped to use the first 6 months business to help us with that.  We should have a better idea as to the number of kids meals we are dealing with and how to attack it in a cost effective mannor.  Any and all suggestions are helpful as we look to grow our new business in Monroe.

As mentioned in previous posts, we do care and we will listen.  With Spring not far away and a new menu on the horizon for us, The Clubhouse Sports Grille is soliciting our customer's dinner suggestions.  Every Tuesday night starting Tuesday, Feb. 5 we will be hosting "Your Special Night".  From suggestions about dinner specials made by our customers on our Facebook page (The Clubhouse Sports Grille Monroe), we will announce the Tuesday Night Special on the prior Thursday.  These specials will be just what the customer ordered.  Legal note "and all things these days have legal notes", some dinner specials may be out of our realm.  We hope our customers realize the spirit of the offer when making suggestions.  Let the specials begin!  Please visit our Facebook page to submit your ideas.

Clubhouse, you're doing great! Please keep it up, and I know you're trying to satisfy some in the community but please don't get so focused on the few that you shy away from the solid stuff you're doing now. If you just have consistency with your bar/kitchen hours, and good environment everything will work out great for you. We come at least twice per week, and will continue to do so. Thanks!

I think this is a fantastic idea. It show you really want to provide our community with the food it wants and craves!

One thing I would add is WiFi. For around $3 per day, you could provide every one of your patrons a place to use social media and internet websites to engage their online network. And were is the best place to engage your social network? At coffee places and sports bars. Heck you both could share the $3 because a good, properly placed router could reach both Coffee Beans and Brew and you.

Its as important as having large screen TVs in my opinion.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

We were in, again, last week and brought friends with us.  We really like the food, service was a tad slow (hard to get refills and cups were taken away for refills, leaving nothing to drink while eating), BUT . . . the food arrived BEFORE the appetizer (fried pickles).  Appetizer not nearly as appetizing when served with dinner.  (No, we did not complain.)
But, all in all, one of the best places in Monroe to eat, so keep it up!

We will try to clear up the Wi-Fi issue.  We are still working on trying to get Wi-Fi.  We do have Cincinnati Bell Wi-Fi currently.  Because of the slow bandwidth, we are unable to allow our customers use of the Wi-Fi.  Our computer system and more importantly our credit card processing system runs on this.  We cannot afford to crash that system.  We have reached out to many suppliers, but with no luck yet.  Having Wi-Fi is easy; having it stand the test of many users at one time is not so easy.

if you are talking zoomtown that is barely high speed these days and is probably why you would have issues with many users.

you need to get cable internet and you will be able to accommodate more.

also keep in mind those same social media outlets work just fine on the coverage provided by the cell phone.  I would think it's much more important for a coffee shop to have a signal than a bar.

my point is...don't worry people can still instagram pictures of their lunch even if you don't provide wifi.
