John Beagle asked School Treasurer Holly Cahall about the meeting.

Beagle: Is there anything you care to share with our readers regarding your meeting yesterday?

Cahall: We did have a Board meeting last night where the Board discussed the the Butler County Educational Service Center and the  County School Financing District. The ESC has formed a CSFD in order to place a levy on the ballot to fund school security measures. Monroe has agreed be one of the school that would benefit if the levy passed.

Beagle: Will there be a levy issue on the ballot this fall?

Cahall: I don't think anything else have been finalized. I do know if a levy was placed on the ballot, that the distribution of funds would be based on property values in each District.

Beagle: Are there any additional security measures or devices being discussed?

Cahall: I think what is being discussed is that the levy could be used for a variety of security measures such as school resource officers, mental health counselors and capital improvements that would increase safety.
