Historical Society presentation about 1910 Building - open to public

“What Is That White Building on The Corner?” Is it a bank? Is it a city municipal building?  Is it a general store with a soda fountain?  Come and hear about the fascinating multiple lives of the 1910 Building that sits on the corner of Main St and Elm St in downtown Monroe Ohio.

The Monroe Historical Society is hosting a presentation about the 1910 Building during the Society's General Membership meeting.  The featured speaker is Mr. Jim Price, a Member of the Monroe Historical Society Board of Directors and a former owner of this landmark building.  Mr. Price will share the history of the building as it passed through the decades and also recount some captivating stories about its owners and visitors.  The presentation will include photos that were copied from valuable century-old glass negatives preserved by the Monroe Historical Society.

The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend at no charge.

So, please join us on Thursday May 31 at the Monroe Community Room at 6 East Ave.  The presentation will begin after a short business meeting that starts at 7pm.   Don't miss this opportunity to hear about that building you frequently drive by and wonder what the it is.  It has been a lot!!
