A great scientist named Roger Revelle had Al Gore in his class at Harvard and the Global Warming campaign was born.

Revelle tried to calm things down years later, but Gore said Revelle was Senile and refused to debate. John Coleman documents the entire story and shows how our tax dollars are perpetuating the Global Warming alarmist campaign even though temperatures have not risen in years and years.

Do you seriously think that Al Gore is the father of global warming? Or that he had anything to do with it besides politicizing it?

No matter if Global Warming is real or fake. It's argument has damaged America's ability to train our children to be scientific. We will continue to deteriorate when it comes to math and science.
24th rank globally is the new high water mark. In our future we will one day believe the earth is flat and the sun revolves around us.

an unfounded "scare" indeed.

My favorite argument is this.

If 97% of engineers say this bridge will fail if you cross it, but 3% say nah you're good to go - would you risk crossing it?

Do we dare explore why that is?

Politicization of education perhaps?

Sure, I guess... I mean so what if he politicized it, it still exists. If you don't believe in global warming because Al Gore politicized it then you're choosing party over fact or ideology over science

Whatever Happened to Global Warming?

Now come climate scientists' implausible explanations for why the 'hiatus' has passed the 15-year mark.

On Sept. 23 the United Nations will host a party for world leaders in New York to pledge urgent action against climate change. Yet leaders from China, India and Germany have already announced that they won't attend the summit and others are likely to follow, leaving President Obama looking a bit lonely. Could it be that they no longer regard it as an urgent threat that some time later in this century the air may get a bit warmer?

In effect, this is all that's left of the global-warming emergency the U.N. declared in its first report on the subject in 1990. The U.N. no longer claims that there will be dangerous or rapid climate change in the next two decades. Last September, between the second and final draft of its fifth assessment report, the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change quietly downgraded the warming it expected in the 30 years following 1995, to about 0.5 degrees Celsius from 0.7 (or, in Fahrenheit, to about 0.9 degrees, from 1.3).

Even that is likely to be too high. The climate-research establishment has finally admitted openly what skeptic scientists have been saying for nearly a decade: Global warming has stopped since shortly before this century began.

Here is the list of National or International scientific bodies that reject global warming/cooling/climate change etc.

Report: No Global Warming For 215 Months

The numbers are in and the verdict is that there has been no global warming for 17 years and 11 months, according to satellite data.

Satellite data prepared by Lord Christopher Monckton shows there has been no warming trend from October of 1996 to August of 2014 — 215 months. To put this in perspective, kids graduating from high school this year have not lived through any global warming in their lifetimes.

years ago John would have been the guy arguing the Earth was flat.

But hey...when you make your money off steel companies I guess it's not good for business to believe in global warming now is it?

Hey look! There's been no global warming since 1998

One of the most popular claims made against climate science is that there has been "no global warming since 1998," or even that there has been a pattern of "global cooling" since that year. Denialists who have made this argument includeTim BallNigel LawsonFred SingerAndrew Bolt and Christopher Monckton. The origins of this argument are unclear; perhaps it might have originated in a column by Bob Carter which appeared the Daily Telegraph in 2006.[37]

This argument fails for several reasons: it only takes into account surface temperatures, and does not deal with oceanic temperatures; it fails to do any sort of trend analysis, and it does not take into account cyclical oscillations or variation. Most importantly, it is one of the finest examples of cherry picking. Classic climate denialism demands that average global temperature measurements must be taken from the peak of the hottest year and measured to the point trough of the coolest year. If the denialists ever picked years either side of 1998 as their start point, the argument would sink faster than the Titanic. This is because globally, 1998 was a record breaking hot year due to a very strong El Nino.[wp][38][39]

Jrock I am not saying global warming does not exist. In my opinion I feel their claims would be more believable if they included the North and South pole temperatures instead of constantly omitting them in all their studies.

By including them it would stop people from saying global warming isn't real.

When they say "Global" the North and South poles ARE part of the globe.

Why do they need to omit those temps?

Gore Admits Financial 'Stake' In Advancing Global Warming Hysteria

"There are a lot of great investments you can make. If you are investing in tar sands, or shale oil, then you have a portfolio that is crammed with sub-prime carbon assets. And it is based on an old model. Junkies find veins in their toes when the ones in their arms and their legs collapse. Developing tar sands and coal shale is the equivalent. Here are just a few of the investments I personally think make sense. I have a stake in these so I’ll have a disclaimer there. But geo-thermal concentrating solar, advanced photovoltaics, efficiency, and conservation." - Al Gore at TED Conference in Monterey, California.
