Hear a loud boom in the night? It may have been a rare 'frost quake'

The bone-chilling conditions are not only taking a toll on heating bills and car batteries, they've resulted in a rare phenomenon called "frost quakes."

Did you hear a loud boom overnight Thursday?

According to Peel Regional Police, they received over 100 calls from people who reported hearing loud booms that "sounded like gunshots" in the night.

Some even say the loud booms were powerful enough to shake their houses.

Frost Quakes involve science.
Therefore I cannot believe they occurred.

Do you apply the same logic to Global Warming?

Mr. Beagle,

My paycheck is tied directly to the sphere of American Steel Production.
I ride 50 year old Harleys, own a 40 year old sports car that gets eight miles to the gallon.
And my favorite sound in all of the world is a hundred year old Hit and Miss motor galloping pop.

I think that pretty much sums up how much I care about Global Warming.
The way it looks to an outsider is it was created as a way for some people to make money, all the while adding to the ability of others to continually discredit all things that are considered 'scientific'.

Your pal,

The life I have chosen to lead is nothing to brag about.
In fact, I could be a top circuit motivational speaker, showing the young people of this country just how NOT to live.

As always,

Houndog
