Operator/Laborer II

Applications are being accepted for Operator/Laborer II in the Public Works Department. Applications may be obtained Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the City Building, 233 South Main Street, Monroe, Ohio. A link to the application is also listed at the top of this page. A non-returnable $10 fee is required for all applications. Checks payable to "The City of Monroe." Applicants must possess a valid Ohio Driver License and a high school diploma or equivalency (GED). A copy of your Ohio Driver License must be submitted with your application. It is required that a Commercial Driver's License be obtained within the first six months of employment. The starting rate for this position is $18.98.

Completed applications must be returned to the Office of the City Manager located at 233 South Main Street, Monroe, Ohio, no later than Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 5 p.m. Applications submitted after this date and time will not be accepted.

The written examination will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 9 a.m. It will be held at the Monroe Elementary school cafeteria located at 220 Yankee Road, Monroe, Ohio. Park and enter on the back side of the building near the footbal field and enter through the F-6 doors. Testing will begin promptly at 9 a.m and photo identification will be required prior to entry for the written exam. Late arrivals or candidate without valid identification will not be admited.
