Do you think the millions spent on political sway people to vote for one candidate or another?  I see to many ads that cut little snippets from a speech and then try to point it out as a complete statements of facts from one persons views. Little or no facts in the ads and if you look at the Mandel/Brown they are calling each liars on most of their ads. I watched the debate here in the Nationwide building and they looked like school kids arguing over time on the swing set

I see quite a few "news" channels that do the same thing.  The only difference is they do it year round, every year.

Ads generally have the least amount of impact on a person's voting decision compared to other aspects of a campaign, at least according to modern political science. Campaigns would be much smarter to put their money and efforts into the "ground game".

Especially Romney, it blows my mind how little he has put into his ground game relative to Obama. It's not like he's McCain and doesn't have money. Nearly every study you can find on the subject shows that having people come to your door and/or speak to you directly has the most impact on a person's voting behavior (of the variables that a campaign can control). He should be at the same level of spending as Obama is but as of a month ago, it was a very wide disparity.

At this point in the game however, it's pretty much too late to change people's minds. Your best bet is to ensure that they actually go out and vote.
