For anyone who is interested, the Geminids should be very visible, tonight!  I am excited that they will be visible, starting around 8 pm, instead of the usual 2 am or later!  The kids are excited, too, since they will actually be awake to see a few!

Damn you and your low light pollution area!

It'll be muted here, but I still hope to see some

I hope it works out for you, to see some!  I actually saw a couple, last night, so maybe tonight they will be extra awesome!

So, did anyone get out and enjoy the show?  It was a little too cold for the kiddies, so we didn't stay out very long, but we saw around 10 really bright ones and several not so bright ones!

I am somewhat of an astronomy nerd, and I pay attention to when meteor showers are set to occur.  As is always my luck, something always comes up that prevents me from watching--usually a freak storm that pops up, right before nightfall.  One year, it was clear skies, and perfect viewing conditions--until a massive fog rolled in, lol!  So, needless to say, I was especially excited to get to see one this year. :)

So, how many did you guys see?

I know of several people that stayed out and saw several each. I decided to go to bed but was wakened by the dogs barking at the coyotes around the house about 2:30 or so.

I kept popping out during Bengals game breaks (which in the NFL means every few minutes) and I think I counted. I live almost out int he country so it was very dark and quite cold but Bud Lights make nice pseudo-blankets.
