Resolution No. 50-2017. A Resolution accepting the bid for curbside solid waste and recycling
collection and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for these services.
Mr. Brock stated that this is the first reading and it is $14.35 per month. Within the contract there
is a credit or debit for a fuel surcharge that is new to the contract. The next step will be the Finance
Director reviewing the fund balance and how the rates would be implemented to avoid a dramatic
impact on the residents.

Mr. Frentzel asked if this contract will have services for events and Mr. Brock replied that it is
included with this contract.

Mrs. Hale moved to consider this the first reading of Resolution No. 50-2017 and have it read by
title only; seconded by Mr. Funk. Voice vote. Motion carried.

The Clerk of Council read Resolution No. 50-2017 by title only.
Mrs. Hale moved to approve the first reading of Resolution No. 50-2017; seconded by Mr.
Hickman. Roll call vote: six ayes. Motion carried.

Resolution No. 50-2017. A Resolution accepting the bid for curbside solid waste and recycling
collection and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for these services.  (Second
Reading)

Mr. Brock advised that this is the second reading and the Finance Director is making a
recommendation that we could keep the current rate for two and one-half to three years. We would
then look at the rates at a later date. There is currently over $500,000 in that account and it has
been determined that $100,000 balance in that is sufficient.

Mrs. Rubin moved to consider this the second reading of Resolution No. 50-2017 and have it read by
title only; seconded by Mrs. Hale.  Voice vote.  Motion carried.

The Clerk of Council read Resolution No. 50-2017 by title only.

Mrs. Rubin moved to adopt Resolution No. 50-2017; seconded by Mr. Clark. Roll call vote: seven
ayes.  Motion carried.
