Mr. Brock informed Council that the City was advised by ODOT that the bridge on Salzman Road was
failing and we had to establish a weight limit for the bridge. We have been working with the TID on
funds for this bridge. This is the only access for some of the businesses to the south of the bridge. He
asked for a motion to approve the application for grant funds for the replacement of that bridge. We
believe that we can do a replacement that will not shut down the road.

Mrs. Hale moved to the City Council endorse and proclaim its support for the BCTID’s request to
ODOT for ODOT Jobs and Commerce Funds for the Salzman Road Bridge Improvement Project and
to collaborate with the BCTID to provide the local match necessary to assist with and advance the
development, implementation, engineering, and construction of said project which will address vital
capacity, safety and congestion issues benefitting the traveling public and residents of the area and
significantly facilitate provide for economic expansion and development in and around the project
area; seconded by Mr. Frentzel. Voice vote. Motion carried.
