I have had one false alarm.

They need to have a car lockout fee that's how they could make some money.

Yeah, I can't imagene how many they get from the outlet mall. When I worked at the fire dept. in Middletown we started doing lockouts in the late 80's and it got to the pont where we were doing 12 to 15 a day. Finally the tow services called and complained that we were taking money out of their pockets so we had to go to the point where we would not do it unless it was an emergency situation.

12-15 a day!?
The fire chief should have stepped in and said.
We are emergency services, fire and medical. Not locksmiths.
Thats unacceptable.

When the word got out that we would do it for free as a service to the community it really picked up. We had one guy that locked his keys in his Jag and he was kinda famous in the area but he was a real jerk when we got there. He "demanded" that we not scratch his car or he would file a complaint against us. After we got it open he got in without so much as a thank you.
