Don’s proposed tax cuts will be adding 1.5 trillion dollars to our deficit. He has absolutely NO plan for rebuilding our infrastructure and NO new money to pay for either the infrastructure or the tax plan. Vice President Pence has to postpone his powwow with Bibi until after the first of 2018 to ensure the passage of these new and improved tax cuts. This seems like a hell of a great deal if the vote is expected to be that close. Would someone please pass me my handbasket?

As Don was running for president he said that the middle class would enjoy a “massive “ tax cut of 35%. Actually, this tax bill lowers federal taxes 10% for the middle class, and only for about 8 years. The kicker is that corporate taxes lower from 35% to 21%...and this is permanent. Somehow, all of this will be revenue-neutral... in a plg’s a**.

Don doesn't write or vote on bills in Congress. The Wall Street Journal reports that Middle Income Earners will get 23% decrease in taxes. Yes the decreases do expire but congress can vote to continue (IF Republicans hold majority then - Dems would most likely kill decreases) And yes, corporate taxes do enjoy a large decrease, but that will likely (hopefully) prompt able-bodied people to get off their asses AND welfare ( subsidized by tax-payers) andFINALLY get a damn job!!! Because business will be HIRING!!! In a growing economy there SHOULD be NO NEED for welfare at the level we currently pay for/support

by Amir El-Sibaie (Source)

Last Friday the House and Senate conferees signed off on a conference report resolving differences between the versions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that passed each chamber. The final bill is similar to the amended Senate bill from last month, with mostly minor changes, notably, to individual income brackets, the refundability of the child tax credit, and the individual alternative minimum tax.

For more details on the final Tax Cuts and Jobs act, my colleagues have written a great summary. Additionally, for more information on the revenue and economic effects of the full bill, see our preliminary analysis.

To help provide a sense of how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act would impact real taxpayers, we’ve run the taxes of eight example households. Each sample taxpayer has realistic characteristics to show how the individual income tax provisions of the bill would impact individuals and families across the income spectrum. Our results indicate a reduction in tax liability for every scenario we estimated, with some of the largest changes in after-tax income accruing to moderate-income families with children.

Kayvan & Nick @ $85,000 per year with 2 kids will bring home $43.34 more per week. Jason @ $52,000 per year with 2 kids will bring home $36.38 more per week. James @ $30,000 per year, no kids will bring home $7.28 more per week. Hardly a massive tax savings. Walking Money at the best.

After further review of this table created by Amir El-Sibaie, I’m wondering why James, the poorest of the group, is represented as a black man. Ironically, the wealthiest, Laura and Seth, are portrayed as Asian. Coincidence?

Laura and Seth are Asian???? How did you come to that conclusion/deduction from the info given? There are no facial features present and names SEEM non-Asian. Skin color does not indicate Asian. Shouldn't you be more offended that they SEEM to be Caucasion??? I will agree that placing James at the lowest level can be construed as a racial bias.

I think you should donate your $40+/month back to the govt.
