LMAO still! I was VERY popular in school and continue to have lots of friends.  I was involved in many things in HS and have many affiliations in my adult life.
Why don't I run for seat?  Because you cannot change the mentality of spending by 1 chair.  If I felt there were good like minded candidates running - I would consider it!

And since when CM does it state anywhere if I do not agree with policies or politics in Monroe or anywhere else that I have to move?  I think my freedom protected by the US Constitution over rules any small town villagers with torches.
People successfully ran off a good person both in and for the community with threats and harassment.  I have thicker skin and well frankly my dears... I dont give a rats hairy behind if you don't like my opinions - I am entitled to have one or many. Sorry!Wink

Oh my the interchange looks soooooo lovely...leading right off into those still yet undemolished structures that surround the exit!  I beam with pride every day!Thumbs Up

So sorry that you do not have the courage to accept my right to express my opinions without sliding into childish name calling and suppositions but I understand you are a product of your environment and obviouly did not score high when it came to working with others.  Its OK - not your fault.

I think you dislike my view because deep down you know there are undisputed truths to what I said and you don't have the stomach or faith to hold out to see if they come true...Shocked

No offense taken Doc.  But when you joined Council - you had some good people to work with.
I have no faith in the new school board which has the same flavor as past school boards!
So 1 seat would not affect change - JMO - in this case.

I will gladly say I was wrong if they prove me wrong.
So look at this as a challenge to prove me wrong!Ouch

This made me laught : LMAO still! I was VERY popular in school and continue to have lots of friends. I was involved in many things in HS and have many affiliations in my adult life.
I can always count on the voice to brighten my day at work!  Seriously what does being popular in HS have to do with anything????

You were the first one on here gloating after the first attempt failed. Now that it has passed you are still whining about the past.

Even after this levy, we still have one of the lower taxation rates around.

And this part made me laugh:

"Why don't I run for seat?  Because you cannot change the mentality of spending by 1 chair.  If I felt there were good like minded candidates running - I would consider it!"

I'm sure glad Senators and US Representatives don't have this same mentality.  No one would EVER run for either of those offices.

So basically what you're saying is that unless every single person on the board thought just like you, you wouldn't consider doing it?  Hmmm.  Honestly, what are the chances of that?  Here's the thing, many people on this forum obviously do not think like you and yet you make it very clear that your opinion counts and should be heard here.  Why not apply those same rules to the board and run for one of those seats?

If you read the post on the prior page you would have seen that yes - someone actually insinuated that I must have been unpopular or bullied to form my opinions....I know I know but truly - this was the best a villager had to offer and YES I was LMAO at answering!

Please do yourself a favor and go to the archives - I NEVER gloated when the last one failed.  I could not keep up with the diapers and tissues needed by the cry babies after the 1st one failed.
I tried to keep the peace and settle the temper tantrums down from others but I NEVER - let alone was the 1st one- to GLOAT!
And I said Congrats on the win - you do not even know how I voted (which eally makes me laugh).  The levy had to be passed but it is just more wasted money.  Not even gonna scratch the surface.
But I like your dellusion!

I never said you had too to go anywhere.

I just know that IF I lived someplace that I had so many complaints about I would move.

If you want to stick around be my guest; just pay your taxes thank you very much.

The trouble with you is you want instant gratification.  The interchange won't happen over night.  But it sure does look better than 12 months ago.  12 months from now maybe we can address some other issues?

Your excuse for not running is poor.  You say there aren't enough like minded individuals running and if there were you would say there are enough so no need for you to run.

I really don't care about your popularity now or in school.  This isn't a popularity contest.

You can express any opinion you would like and I do accept them.  I'm not the one who hid behind the ignore button for years because I couldn't accept people felt differently than myself.

Also just so you know...the US constitution doesn't protect your speech here at all.  This is a private owned website.  You have no more right to free speech than John Beagle wants to give you.  so there is a constituion; it just starts reading 'I the Beagle' instead of 'We the People'.

As far as threats and harassment causing a person to leave I think you may be a bit mistaken. (edit) While I didn't make any threats to her or harass her in any way I am not going to lose sleep over whatever came back to her on the back end.  Karma as they say is a bitch.

well we would prove you wrong except you are unelectable.

That's the real reason you wouldn't run.  You are smart enough to know it so you use this as an excuse.  As previously stated it's a poor one.

well we know that you either voted "no" or you are a complete hypocrite.  I mean your stance on this issue has not been a secret and your post here is more evidence.

Which is it?  Are you the ultimate troll disagreeing for the sake of it and then voting "yes" at the polls or at the very least do you mean what you say here?

The thing that troubled me the most with this election was on everyone's lips. "What will it do for me?" I did not hear very many people saying what will it do for our community/country. We have become a nation of me. "What will I get? or What will it do for me?" What ever happened about "What is good for all of us"? I saw the levy as a way to get the schools back on track and repay the state. Yes it is only for 5 years but there is still the hope that the economy will reverse itself, the property values will inflate, and the tax collections will increase and there will not be a need for a new levy. We will have to cross that bridge when we get there. And if it is too expensive when we get there we will have to consider the other options then.

Last comments for you CM...

A) I love to poke the bears and I got a lot of people's blood pumpin today.  It makes me laugh - a lot - when I watch them have a serious meltdown.
B) I have tried every way I can think of to find some way to relate to your mindset!  But I STILL cannot find anything informing, moving, inspirational, constructive in ANY of your posts.  Mostly...I yawn - A LOT
C) Goody for you that you are happy with the growth and the beautiful (snicker) interchange to nothingville that has taken a year to construct to this point and God Bless you for allowing them another year to finish. (But this is the speed of your hopes for progress? Wow - moving forward at warp speed there Scotty!)
D) what authority do you think you have to tell me to pay my taxes?  And truly how childish of you to imply that I don't

And lastly, you were never stalked by anyone Mr. Robert, RYAN, mountaingirl, crybaby, etc.
You did the same thing to retired and called it common knowledge.
Has your house been under seige?  Doubtful as really, no one cares where you live or who you are but you have a need to feel self important so GO ON poor downtrodden soul !

Whew, I could go on and on but truly, today's folly with the funny funny posters who got so twisted up because of an opinion posted on a board in a small community - well let's just say there are about 15 of us who have LOBO!  And we THANK YOU PEOPLE! GOOD NIGHT!LOLThumbs UpClapStar

Can't change my vote. It is already done and over with. I would not want to anyways. I am not afraid to say that I voted for the levy. I never hid my feelings about this issue. Yes I am on a fixed income but I want to see the schools continue and the kids prosper. Eventually I may have grandkids that go to school here and I would like it to stay as a nice school to attend. With intelligent, careing teachers like the some of the current ones we have today.

It's not the vote changing that makes you a troll.

See if you can figure that one out.

Not true at all

Your friend released information about myself not found in my profile.

IE my last name and other detailed information about my home.

You can call me Ryan.  Retired is Cliff.   We know that cause the two of us chose to release that information in our profile.  It was a choice we made of our own free will.  But you...well we still don't know your real name cause you don't seem to list it now do you?

At least get your facts straight.  What buckeye nut did to me was not the same thing.  Not even close.

Way to not address any of the real issues at hand then just personally go at me.   You know what they say about that...

As far as getting twisted up...You would know...nobody gets more twisted than you.  Self importance?  I guess you can be a good judge of me on that...you certainly are FULL of it yourself.  Takes one to know one I guess.

What exactly is it you think we do while you are having your meltdowns with gems like "I won't run for council there aren't enough like minded people on the board to warrant doing so."

Remember this is coming from the same person claiming that the "Good Old Boys" on the school board have been reliving their glory days with their stadiums and all the spending.
