Major Steve Arrasmith of the Warren County Drug Task Force distributed their annual report. He
reported that the structure of the WCDTF remains the same. We are a multi-jurisdictional drug
task force and operate in all of Warren County and the City of Wilmington. We operate off of
grants, Warren County Commissioners, and contributions.

Last year’s report showed heroin and fentanyl was our greatest threat.

We started to see a shift to crystal meth amphetamine and we are
seeing tremendous spikes in that. We had a 142% increase in Warren County.

The heroin and fentanyl seizures we saw an 80% reduction.
In Warren County we had 102 overdose deaths in 2017. In 2018 that was down to 52.
