Anyone ever noticed that in the late 60's and early 70's when one sought a job they went to the "Employment Department". They were to be an employee. Sometime in the 80's or 90's that morphed into the "Personnel Department". They were now considered personnel. Ahh, finally the 2000's and beyond and the Personnel Dept. has now become "HR" human resources. No longer an employee or person but a "resource" the same as a rail load of coal or perhaps a unit of natural gas...... Corporate America, gotta love it. |
